It’s amazing how popular and internationally known the 12 Apostles attraction is.
Sometimes we get calls from customers inquiring about the Great Ocean Road tour, the most common question is whether we have a tour to the Twelve Apostles 🙂
In fact the Apostles are magnificent.
As we arrive there earlier than the large crowds, I usually rush down before my group and stand at the top of the stairs as I like to see the expressions on their faces, their body language when they have the first sight of the formations. The reaction is unanimous: WOW! This is what all of them say: WOW!
One thing is seeing pictures at Google but actually being there, it’s a completely different story. That’s a common sense among the visitors too.
The 12 Apostles in reality were never 12, they were 9 and the ninth partially collapsed in 2005 and fell down totally in 2009, so what we see there are 8 beautiful limestone stacks. Apparently the name was a marketing strategy to make the place famous using a Christian term.
Regardless the name or the quantity of stacks, it’s a place to go. If you haven’t been join us on the tour, we’ll take you there before the arrival of the large crowds.
