Another fully booked Great Ocean Road Tour
Reverse Itinerary for a small group was planned for the next day. I’ve checked the weather forecast for Port Campbell before going to sleep on the day before and it didn’t look good at all. Maybe it will change, let’s see tomorrow – I told myself.
Alarm rings at 6am:
Twelve Apostles, here we go. Another double check at the weather forecast: torrential rain at the Twelve Apostles between 10 am and 12 pm. OMG! This is exactly the time we have to visit the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, The Razorback and London Bridge when we travel the reverse itinerary on a Great Ocean Road Tour. That’s not fair!
Time to take a decision, and it was the best one, saved the day.
Customers on board and I tell them:
– My dears, I love doing the reverse itinerary on this Great Ocean Road Tour, but my first target is to create some remarkable moments for you, therefore I’ll do all I can to take you to the Twelve Apostles when it’s not raining. And so we did!
First stop at Torquay: sunny, windy and two braves Aussie surfers were paddling their stand up boards.
After that we went to Bells Beach, spotted some kangaroos on the way and there we had a great highlight on the day as the sun was shining against the golden cliff while the waves were spraying back hit by the winds. What a view. We love you Bells!
It was still dry at Anglasea and Kenneth River when we then crossed Great Otway National Park under torrential rain! Thanks gods of the weather, this is a two hours drive and my tourists are all well protected inside the van!
After visiting Port Campbell, London Bridge, the Loch ard Gorge and the Razorback we finally arrived at the Twelve Apostles. Guess what?

Blue ski and amazing views!
Thanks Great Ocean Road for another lovely tour, when we reversed the reverse itinerary for this small group!
